Professor Millán M. Millán is a meteorologist and the former Executive Director of the CEAM-UMH Research Institute. He obtained a MSc in Aerospace Science and Meteorology and a PhD in Atmospheric Physics at the University of Toronto.

Millán designed the Metal Detector gates currently used in Airports, and the Correlation Spectrometer (COSPEC) for the measurement of gases in the Atmosphere. Since 1986 his research has been focused in the relationship between Air Pollution and the atmospheric circulations in the Mediterranean.

Millán has worked for 43 years as an adviser to the European Commission in the fields of Environment and Climate, including new methods of rebuilding water cycles. He plays an important role as advisor to The Weather Makers and an inspirator for ‘out of the box’ solutions within ecosystem restoration.
